Six questions for our technical all-rounder

With our lead architect Manas, you always know where you stand. There is hardly any time for misunderstandings in his everyday life – even if the day had 48 hours, Manas would probably still have something to do. When he does have time off, he climbs any mountain that hasn’t melted away fast enough (he has climbed the five highest mountains in Europe) and or gets on his bike for longer distances.

What did you do for a living before DKSR?

I worked as a scientist and German representative at NATO. There, I worked in the defense sector with a focus on public safety and interoperability of NATO platforms.

What brings an IT developer with a background like yours to administrative digitization?

My experience with regional and national processes related to large-scale implementation of information, communications and technology systems.

What do you like to do most in your free time?

Biking, swimming, hiking, climbing, photography, reading books, skydiving, meeting new people and having new experiences.

If you could do a different job for a day, what would it be?

No work, just stay in the woods without doing anything. Learning about nature and its mechanisms.

Is open source the future for management technology?

Partially yes. Depends on functional steps and location.

If you could introduce one digital innovation to make cities & regions sustainable – what would it be?

Bringing people together, learning their habits and adapting existing methods to the new technological specifications.
