Our Smart City Data Hub CIVORA is a control center for urban data solutions that can be managed and interconnected from one place. An urban data catalog is an online directory that collects and publishes data about a city or region. Similar to a library catalog, only with metadata. You can view, manage, add and share data in our user-friendly web interface in a legally compliant manner. Thanks to our roles and rights system, you can request user licenses from the data owner with a single click. A perfect data governance tool. High-performance data infrastructure

An open urban data platform is a software for cities and municipal utilities that processes data from various sources to make it usable for smart city applications. The platform itself does not analyze or visualize data but provides the infrastructure to do so.

Urban data platforms process real-time data. The perfect tool for monitoring river levels, energy management or traffic monitoring! If, for example, river levels rise above a critical level, this is registered by monitoring tools such as dashboards and an alert can be issued. Early warning systems and countermeasures become possible.

Eine offene urbane Datenplattform ist eine Art Software oder Betriebssystem für Städte und kommunale Versorger, die Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen verarbeiten und bereitstellen wollen. Sehr vereinfacht ausgedrückt können Sie sich die Plattform wie einen “Datenmarkt” vorstellen, über den verschiedene Datenquellen und -anbieter ihre Daten bereitstellen und andere Anwender diese Daten nutzen können, bspw. für Datenanalysen, zur Visualisierung oder Bürgerschaft-Apps. Die Plattform selbst ist nicht direkt dafür zuständig, Daten zu visualisieren oder zu analysieren, sie bietet vielmehr der Infrastruktur dafür, die Ihnen ermöglicht, urbane Daten für Anwendungen wie Smart City Dashboards, Datenkataloge, Bürger-Apps oder ähnliches zu nutzen. Dabei zeichnen sich urbane Datenplattformen insbesondere dadurch aus, dass sie Echtzeitdaten verarbeiten können.

Praktische Beispiele wären eine offene Datenplattform, die Daten aus verschiedenen Quellen wie Daten der Stadtverwaltung, Sensoren und sozialen Medien sammelt und bereitstellt. An diese Plattform könnten dann verschiedene Anwender ihre eigenen Dashboards oder Datenkataloge anschließen, um die Daten in einer übersichtlichen und verständlichen Weise darzustellen.
