Data solutions are an important building block for urban development. But in order to use them sensibly, you need structures, processes and know-how. The question is: where do you start? How do you build a data-competent organizational culture in the administration that supports employees and reduces fears? How do you manage to combine data across all departments in a meaningful way for data-supported urban development and work together? And how do you get people on board who want to participate in this project? We help you to increase your data competence , drive forward the digitalization of your city administration and thus implement urban development projects. We also support you with data services, such as data analysis, or in the development of analysis tools for specific use cases.

What we specifically do for you
So that you can make optimum use of your data potential
Workshops and knowledge transfer
We have various offers to enable you or your administration to work with data. One important component is knowledge transfer. In our workshops, your city or municipality can build up specific knowledge about working with data. Data basics, data strategies and data governance are just a few examples. We can also tailor the workshop content to your individual challenges in order to meet you where you are. We draw on our experience from working with many local authorities and share best practice examples with you. The aim is to work together to create the basis for digital public services and data work in your municipality.

Strategic (collaboration) work with data

Develop and implement applications and use cases
With the help of data or so-called use cases, you can better understand local challenges, identify trends and develop suitable solutions. Examples of this include heat island management, traffic planning and energy and building management.
We support you in setting up use cases - with the necessary knowledge, data, data analyses, data technologies and analysis tools. This creates real added value.

Workshops and knowledge transfer
Working competently and securely with dataDigital transformation and data knowledge are important. Optimized administrative processes make your work easier, increase transparency and improve citizen participation. Keyword: Efficient digital provision for the future! Above all, however, you can use data and suitable data technologies to shape your city or municipality in a targeted manner. Facts instead of gut feeling! Our workshops will help you get there.

Process support for (collaborative) work with data
We pick you up from where you areThe digitalization of municipal and city administrations often fails due to a lack of suitable structures and processes. However, resistance from employees or a lack of motivation are also often decisive factors. Possible reasons for this: they are afraid of contact, do not see the added value of digitalization and have often seen innovations come to nothing.
The solution we are happy to support you with
The most practicable way: Start with a concrete use case to develop the basis for a data-competent city administration
- A clear, legally compliant data strategy and data governance that provides certainty of action
Efficient data management that allows you to plan, acquire, share and manage data sets and algorithms
- Powerful IT solutions that employees can use intuitively and that help you achieve your goals
Train employees and involve them in practical projects - this gives them confidence and allows them to experience the added value of digitalization in their day-to-day work

No matter where you are in your process towards digital city or local government, we can help you take the next step.

Solving municipal challenges with data

What we do for you
We work with you to design your use cases and work out the objectives and data requirements.
We obtain the required data and prepare it.
We train models and develop analysis tools to provide you with a sound basis for your urban planning decisions.
We interpret the results for you and with you so that you understand the analysis results precisely.
If you want to use a use case as a basis for developing a data strategy, your data governance and deriving a suitable IT system landscape, then we can also help you with this.
Examples of current analysis tools from municipal data projects

Heat risk for vulnerable groups
Where are heat islands in your municipality? Which population groups are particularly vulnerable to heat? How much time do these groups need in particularly hot places in your city to get to a sufficiently cool place? Or more generally: Which risk factors do you need to respond to as part of your heat response plan and how? To enable you to answer these questions based on facts, we help you to collect, visualize, analyse and evaluate the data.

Mobility analysis
Where do people looking for a parking space cause the biggest traffic problems? Where can traffic jams in the city center be avoided? What impact does an extended pedestrian zone really have? To answer these questions, we analyze large volumes of movement data from vehicle fleets. The findings from the data analyses allow you to derive effective measures for a sustainable mobility transition - data-based, comprehensible and future-oriented.

Cycle route planner for municipalities
Where would it make sense to add more cycle paths in your municipality? How can you test strategies for new cycle paths before you actually create them? We have developed a cycle path planner for this purpose. The tool uses data from rental bikes and networks to help you plan cycling infrastructure. This allows you to estimate bicycle traffic for various options and provide key figures on bicycle friendliness.
We look forward to getting to know you!
