Control center for modular data solutions

The Smart City Data Hub as a control center for urban data solutions
The Civora Smart City Data Hub is a control centre for working with urban data. It includes an urban data catalogue, dashboards and analysis tools, including the potential to create and operate digital city twins. These modules allow you to customize your hub and also connect data from different sources. The hub is equipped with a systematic role-based access control system that reflects the formal working methods of municipal authorities. It enables efficient data management and a wide range of smart city applications, from traffic control to energy data management.

Analyze and visualize data

To develop your city or region in a data-driven way, you can customize your data hub with efficient tools to visualize and analyze data. These include smart city dashboards, analysis tools for digital twins and for various domains such as climate, mobility and energy.

Real-time automation of processes

If you use the Civora Data Hub to manage real-time data from our urban data platform, you can automate the data processing. For example, you can have alerts sent automatically when critical thresholds such as river levels are reached and initiate appropriate countermeasures.

Home Screen

The perfect start

The home screen is the start page of your Smart City Data Hub. Here you can log in to your personal data space. The page can be customized with the logo, font and colors of your city or region. The public area is therefore ideal for informing your citizens about your current data- based urban design measures.

Once you have logged in, you will be taken to the internal start page, where you will find an overview of all available information. Here you can get an overview of current events or data requests, access data directly and navigate to your data hub modules.

Urban data catalog

Always up to date

An urban data catalog is an online directory for data held by different owners in a city or region. It is like a library catalog, but instead of books, data is cataloged.

On the user-friendly web interface, you can view and manage this data directly and add new data if you have permission to do so. If not, you can request the data from its owner at the click of a mouse.

The catalog also contains metadata, which functions like an imprint for data. It contains information on data sources, format, description, data quality and the data owner. This enables efficient, user-friendly and cross-divisional data management in cities and regions. Find out what else the data catalog can do here.

Smart City Dashboards

Designing cities with targeted data analysis and visualization

A Smart City Dashboard is a visualization, analysis and monitoring tool that displays your city's data at a glance in a user-friendly web application. With this tool, you can view and analyze data from areas such as mobility, climate, energy, economy and administration.

With our dashboards, you can analyze static and real-time data to derive trend forecasts and better predict future developments. Real-time data enables you to detect critical anomalies such as river levels being exceeded in due time and to react immediately with suitable measures. If this data comes from our urban data platform, you can automate this process by setting critical thresholds that automatically send alerts when reached. In short: Smart City Dashboards enable you to manage your city or region efficiently.

Digital urban twin

More than just a digital image of a city

An urban digital twin is the digital image of a city or region and its processes. It is therefore more than just a 3D city model, as this only becomes a digital twin when it is combined with sophisticated technologies that enable informed urban planning.

There are various digital twins for special use cases, such as transportation, energy and water supply or environmental protection. In digital twins, you can, for example, display historical and real-time data on the development of heat islands in order to simulate the efficiency of possible climate adaptation measures for the future. Our tool for digital twins in the Smart City Data Hub offers you precisely these technologies. In addition, the data catalog can be linked to your twin on a piveau basis, allowing you to find out where the data displayed to you is located at the click of a mouse.

Analytical tools

Specific tools for specific challenges

What impact do potential urban development measures have? How can you test strategies to solve specific problems? Our City Intelligence team develops custom tools for precisely these questions. To ensure that important customer-specific tools can be used by all municipalities, we continue to develop them and integrate them into CIVORA. We have already integrated two of our current tools - an assessment tool for climate adaptation measures and a cycle path planner - into CIVORA. Try it out!

If you currently need analysis tools for individual issues in your city that we do not yet cover in CIVORA, our City Intelligence team will be happy to support you with the development or data analyses.

Smart City Data Governance Tool

The operational, legally compliant infrastructure for data-driven urban development

The challenges faced by cities and regions are increasing. Data, data solutions and collaboration are needed to tackle climate change, mobility issues, housing shortages and the transformation of energy systems. But how can we ensure that data is secure and reliable? Who can access which data? How can data be managed efficiently? And how do we comply with laws and regulations?

We support you in creating an Urban Data Governance. If you already have a governance system, you can implement it with the CIVORA Data Hub. The hub not only offers comprehensive visualization and analysis tools, but is also equipped with a detailed rights and roles system that maps the governance procedures in your city administration. The result: you can link, analyse, visualize and publish decentralized specialist data in a legally compliant manner. Data access is only possible with the appropriate authorizations, which can be requested and assigned directly in the Data Hub.
